Fraai Uitzicht 1798, near Robertson in the 'Valley of Wine and Roses', is a historic wine farm with an acclaimed cosmopolitan restaurant. Fraai Uitzicht is Dutch for good views - and indeed the lodge does offer glorious views across the valley. Four stylishly appointed cottages and four suites open onto a beautiful herb, flower and rose garden with a sparkling pool. Each has a TV, open fireplace, mini bar and a terrace overlooking the vineyards and fruit orchards. Fraai Uitzicht is centrally located for visiting the many wine estates of the area, the charming nearby towns of Montagu and Swellendam and the Bontebok National Park. The beautiful estate has some walking trails. Fraai Uitzicht is also well-known for its cuisine and excellent wine cellar with attentive hosts providing a relaxed ambience for fine dining.
