The five star Table Bay Hotel in the vibrant V&A Waterfront of Cape Town is an unashamedly luxurious hotel, from the deep sofas in the sitting rooms, the burnished mahogany in the cocktail bar to the well appointed rooms with their marbled bathrooms. Sophisticated, gracious and relaxed, the Table Bay Hotel is the sum of all that is good about Cape Town.
Another attractive feature of the Table Bay Hotel is its superb location, both overlooking the Atlantic Ocean on the one side and connected to the V&A Waterfront on the other side. During the day, the cool Atlantic Ocean breeze eases the heat of Africa’s Mother City - Cape Town. You can enjoy the designer boutiques and stylish restaurants of the V&A Waterfront. You can easily walk to the sailing boats moored at the marina nearby or the Robben Island departure point. In the evening you can enjoy the vast array of restaurants on offer, as well as the evening shopping.
The 329 air-conditioned rooms overlook either Table Mountain or the Atlantic Ocean with views to Robben Island. All feature luxurious walk-in cupboards, butler stations, television and video, en suite bathrooms with separate shower and wifi access.
Other delights of the Table Bay Hotel include elegant orchid floral arrangements, chamber music in the lounge during Afternoon High Tea and live jazz in the Atlantic restaurant that serves a range of modern Cape dishes - as well as arguably the best breakfast buffet in South Africa! The stylish cocktail bar, large heated swimming pool with pool bar and well-equipped Spa complete the picture. The excellent Spa at the Table Bay Hotel has its own heated pool, Jacuzzi, range of treatment rooms, fully equipped gym as well as personal trainers and dietitians on hand.
Children are welcome at the Table Bay Hotel, with a sleeper couch in the Luxury Family Room that takes two smaller children or one older child. Also keep in mind the endless entertainment offered for families in and around the V&A Waterfront with the Oceanarium, sailing boats, craft markets, scratchpatch amongst other attractions.
I recently stayed at the 5 star Table Bay Hotel in the Victoria & Alfred waterfront with my husband and 2 children aged 4 and 7. From the moment you arrive you are made to feel special and the children loved the attention. We stayed on the 5th floor in a superior family room with a stunning view over the ocean. We could also see the pool from our window. The hotel have a wonderful vibrant vibe and is conveniently connected to the shops and many restaurants at the Waterfront. The staff is very friendly and efficient and my children loved their welcome sweets and beautiful gifts they received. My only small criticism would be that the mattress for the sleeper couch might be a little too thin as I had to make a plan to make it more comfortable for the children. But otherwise our stay was excellent.
