Tarangire Kuro Treetops Lodge (Nomad)

Tarangire Kuro Treetops lodge is a semi-permanent camp in the southern part of Tarangire National Park in northern Tanzania.

The camp has been renovated and the tents now have wooden flooring with thatched roofs. The rooms have been opened up with the wide verandas to enjoy this wonderfully wild area. The rooms now offer indoor and outdoor showers with a flush loo. There are still six rooms to keep to the small and intimate feel of Kuro Tarangire. Families can be accommodated in the family tent consisting of two ensuite bedrooms.

The Lodge

The open dining tent at Nomad Kuro Tarangire is a great place to spend a relaxed afternoon, with its own library-lounge area. It is open to receive the cooling afternoon and evening breezes and is furnished with richly woven rugs, carved North African furniture and glowing lanterns in the evening.

Game viewing at Nomad Kuro Tarangire

Game viewing opportunities are superb. The Park has some of the highest concentrations of game in Tanzania and has relatively low numbers of visitors. The rolling landscape is dotted with numerous baobab trees and Tarangire National Park is probably best known for its large herds of elephants; at times it is home to around 2500 of these magnificent animals. Furthermore, the permanent water in the Tarangire River attracts a large range of wildlife. Wildebeest, giraffe, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest and eland are well represented and over 500 bird species have been recorded.
