Namushasha River Lodge lies in the Caprivi Strip region of Namibia (also known as the Zambezi region). Here it celebrates the wonders of the Zambezi waters. Indeed there’s a magic and charm in these northern realms. With elephants, hippos, myriad bird species, water lilies and African bush, a visit to Namushasha enriches your adventure into nature. Enjoy the chiming of reed frogs, bird calls, hippo grunts as the boat skims through the water.
Situated 24 km south of Kongola along a tarred road, Namushasha is a wondeful destination in itself. But it is also the perfect stopover en route when travelling along the Caprivi Strip to the Chobe/Kasane area or on to Victoria Falls...
Namushasha’s impressive central entrance with wooden chandelier and carved animals leads you into the attractive lodge set between wild syringa trees in true African style. The dining room, with its high thatched roof, opens on the sides to the river views.
The rooms are closely situated to the river bank. Most have a view on to the river. Each room has twin beds, mosquito nets and en-suite bathroom (with shower). Each room also has its own private porch where you can sit and relax, enjoying the beautiful scenery. For families, you can request an inter-leading room.
The captivating Namushasha River Lodge offers a wonderful choice of exciting activities. Stroll to the traditional heritage centre. Hop aboard the river boats for early morning or late afternoon river cruises. Here you can explore the channels and discover the diverse bird life of Namushasha. Or take a trip to the Bwabwata National Park, first by boat and then you enjoy a game drive in open 4x4 game vehicle. Plus, at the end of day, there's nothing that can quite compare to the red of a Zambezi sunset.
