Overview
South Luangwa National Park * Lake Malawi
This 10 night Valley & Lake safari combines some of the best of Zambia and Malawi and offers a unique take on the classic bush and beach safari.
It combines the Robin Pope Safaris camps in the South Luangwa Valley, one of Africa’s finest wildlife sanctuaries, with their equally unspoilt beach retreat on the southern shores of Lake Malawi. So it's ideal as a honeymoon option, or for anyone looking for a relaxing safari with the emphasis on wildlife and comfort.
Your Valley & Lake safari begins with 3 nights at Nkwali Camp in the central park of the South Luangwa National Park. Next you head north to the more remote parts of the park. Stay 3 nights at either Nsefu Camp or Tena Tena, or if you wish, a combination of both. Next you return to Mfuwe to fly to Lilongwe in Malawi and continue on by light charter flight to Lake Malawi to spend the final 4 nights at Pumulani Lodge by the shimmering waters of this ‘lake of stars’.

Add-ons to the Valley & Lake Safari
If you have more time to spend, we recommend adding a few nights in Victoria Falls at the start of the safari, or adding a couple of nights in Liwonde National Park for some more relaxed game-viewing by vehicle, on foot or by boat.
These particular bush camps (Tena Tena & Nsefu) in the South Luangwa National Park are only open during the dry winter season. (late May to October/November). However you can change to one of the more centrally located camps (which stay open for most of the year if you are travelling in the Green season.) Ask us for a tailor-made quote.
You can also change the number of nights at each place, without too big a change in price, as long as the total number of night is ten or more.
