Tintswalo Manor House is a little gem of a place and is highly recommended for family parties or groups of friends. The Tintswalo Manor House is a rather grand name for this supremely comfortable bush homestead overlooking an active waterhole. It is taken on an exclusive use basis by one party (with a minimum of 4 people) and comes with your own ranger and your own cook so that you can tailor your safari to suit your needs.

Accommodation

The homestead  has a comfortable sitting room, full kitchen and shaded veranda with outside dining and sitting areas. There's a simple garden, with children's play things available, and a swimming pool which is fenced off from the bush and so is safe for all to use.

The homestead has five bedrooms. Downstairs there are three en suite bedrooms all prettily decorated. Off one of these bedrooms is a children's room with two single beds (this bedroom is not en suite). One of the downstairs bedrooms has a separate entrance from the outside and therefore might suit those looking for more privacy such as a teenager or a nanny. Upstairs is the main en suite bedroom which is larger and has the added benefit of a balcony with sun chairs overlooking the bushveld.

Indeed it is important to note that Tintswalo Manor House is not decorated in the style of a luxury game lodge but more a supremely comfortable family home. Guests may also enjoy the facilities of the spa at Tintswalo Safari lodge.

Game viewing

Children are allowed on game drives, at the discretion of the guide, but not on game walks. A special children's programme is available which offers a fun, educational bush experience. The Manyeleti private game reserve offers the Big Five as well as plenty of plains game including elephant, spotted hyena, giraffe, buffalo, white rhino, leopard and lion. Leopards are less frequently seen here at close range, but as there are only three concessions in the whole reserve, Tintswalo can offer a very exclusive game-viewing experience with early morning and evening game drives on offer.
