Dulini River was robably our favourite lodge of this ‘scounting’trip. Naturally Dulini is coming in at a much higher price point than some of the others. But it compares very favourably with its even more expensive luxurious competitors such as Londolozi, Singita, Leopard Hills etc.
The first thing that stands out is its setting. It has an expansive river setting with views in both directions. All of the suites share this view. The decor was modern African with interesting artworks, textures. It was very accessible being mainly inย muted natural tones and textures. But still plenty of interest for those into interior design.
We loved the suites. Very spacious, supremely stylish and well-designed. These are places that you positively want to spend time in. I also liked the way that the dressing area was more hidden area but also accesible to the bathroom. Double doors lead out to an expansive deck with heated plunge pool (which was really warm in the middle of winter) with those wonderful Sabie river views.
We had a great guiding team where our ranger and tracker really worked together as a team to deliver some amazing sightings.
Finally the food was delicious with a varied seven day meal plan with tasting menus, African evenings, wine pairing etc. We were there for curry night! Our sommelier was knowledgeable and gently guided us towards the right wine to have with the curry.
Highly recommended!
