Overview

Hakusembe River Lodge offers complete peace and tranquility on the banks of the Kavango river close to Rundu. This is the perfect starting point for any exploration of the Caprivi strip, the only wetlands area in Namibia.

It offers 10 comfortable chalets including one family chalet and one floating chalet which doubles up as the honeymoon suite. All  are tastefully furnished and have air-conditioning, fan, minibar, tea/coffee facilities, mosquito net, en suite shower room and small sitting area.

The main lodge at Hakusembe River Lodge has a swimming pool, bar, restaurant, internet access with complimentary wifi (not very strong signal).

Activities

There's a range of activities to enjoy at Hakusembe River Lodge including tiger fishing, bird-watching excursions, sunset cruises with champagne (which is offered as a complimentary excursion if you stay two nights) as well as full day river safaris on the Hakusembe River Queen and guided canoe safaris, both with a picnic lunch.
