Brookdale Estate is a sprawling country estate with a manor house overlooking manicured indigenous gardens. Surrounded by wild fynbos, dipping valleys and towering hills. But it is is also a working wine farm where imagination meets skills.
The Rudd family has lovingly restored this historic estate. They rebuilt the Manor House and rejuvenated and replanted the vineyards with 3600 indigenous trees. And the mountain slopes have been re-seeded with wild Cape fynbos and flowers. With a small, well-trained team and a careful approach to land use and sustainability, bird and animal life remain rich and abundant. Every season brings different moods, different hues and different creatures.
Private and accessible only to guests staying on the estate, Brookdale has become a byword for exclusive luxury. There are 6 elegantly styled en-suite bedrooms with 6 Manor Suites and 1 Vineyard suite. You can book these suites individually for a romantic stay. Or as a 6-bedroom villa in the Winelands, perfect for a multi-generational family or group of friends. Dine in the Cellar surrounded by barrels.

During your stay, book time with the wine-maker Kiara Scott for a hosted wine tasting to taste your way through the current vintages of the Mason Road and Brookdale ranges. If you need to get your heart rate going during your stay, enjoy a walk or run through the Brookdale Estate vineyards and gardens.
Brookdale Estate is also home to a Tasting Room, Bistro and new state-of-the-art Wine Cellar. Set on gentle slopes amongst the vineyards, The Bistro gazes across new vines and the mountainous landscape of our valley in the Paarl Winelands. Here menus change with nature's rhythms under the culinary wisdom of Executive Chef, Gary Coetzee.
