The 7,500ha Amakhala Game Reserve, between Port Elizabeth and Grahamstown offers malaria-free game viewing. 'Amakhala' is named after the Xhosa word meaning Aloes, the prolific indigenous plant found in this uniquely diverse province. Steeped in history and beauty, this game reserve creates an ideal environment for an unforgettable safari and an intimate experience of the varied landscape, including breathtaking views of the Bushman's River.
Amakhala Leeuwenbosch Country House is built around the original 1908 colonial homestead with beautiful indigenous gardens. It offers convivial country hospitality with spacious comfortable rooms and family suites to give you a family safari experience like no other. There are four en-suite bedrooms and a family suite.
