Angsana Balaclava Mauritius is situated in Turtle Bay, on a secluded white sandy beach on the western side of Mauritius North Coast. There is lots to see and do in and around the resort including an award winning spa as well as a wide variety of watersports. The resort is a short 10-15 minutesā drive to the nearby villages, city, shopping and dining places, like Triolet village, Arsenal village, Port-Louis and Grand Bay so it is ideal if you wish to venture further out of the resort.
There are six types of rooms at Angsana Balaclava to choose from including the standard Garden Suite with its full length glass windows giving you a wonderful view of the landscaped gardens and sea beyond. The Deluxe Pool SuitesĀ haveĀ views of the garden or ocean and feature their own private pool with direct entrance to the bathroom so you can enjoy a refreshingĀ dip in the pool and walk straight into your bathroom for a quick shower afterwards. The Ocean Front Pool Suite also has it's own pool as the name suggests but it is larger and has its own veranda for you to relax by the pool after your swim. These suites make the most of its gorgeous views of the beach and ocean with the pool and spacious stone bath facing the ocean front. The Beachfront Pool Suite have an L shaped infinity pool with the added luxury of a warm jet pool or steam shower.
Angsana Balaclava Resort is perfect for families or groups as it has two villas. The Imperial Pool Villa has 3 bedrooms, infinity pool, jet pool as well as a pool for the children. It has a large veranda, living and dining spaceĀ as well as its own spa treatment area. The 4 Bedroom Imperial Pool Villa is a massive 772 square metres comprised of a beachfront pool suite on the ground floor and an ocean view suite on the first floor. This villaĀ also has its own spa treatment area, living and dining areas andĀ has the additional timber veranda for al fresco dining as well as a large entertainment deck. Like the Imperial Pool Villa, it has 3 pools.
Enjoy an excursion to the Pamplemousses Botanical Gardens where you can learn the names of hundreds of exotic and indigenous plants, trees and spices growing in Mauritius, and where you can take memorable pictures of the giant water-lilies.
Have a local (rum) degustation at the Beau Plan Sugar Museum 15 minutesā drive from Angsana Balaclava Mauritius. Through an interesting set-up of technology and local artistry, you will appreciate the rich history of Mauritius told through the vagaries of the first French settlers who came to Mauritius in 1735 and started to cultivate the land with sugar-cane which was to become the first source of economy for Mauritius for almost 3 centuries.
For the more sea-adventurous, try the āWalk under the seaā in an oxygenated helmet or an immersion into theĀ under-water world with the Blue Safari sub-marine. Finish the day on a beautiful note by having lunch on a catamaran at Gunners Point, a deserted Robinson-Crusoe island, situated 2 hours on the Northern tip of the island.
