Overview

Elephant Valley Lodge lies within the Kasane Forest Reserve, between Chobe National Park and the equally impressive Matetsi wildlife conservancy. The Chobe area is home to the largest population of wild elephant in the world. This is estimated to be approximately 120,000 individuals. The camp comprises 20 'meru' style luxury safari tents and can accommodate a maximum of 40 guests. Given the concentration of elephant in this wildlife sanctuary, the camp is fenced to ensure peace of mind whilst not limiting the cacophony of night sounds as you drift off to sleep after an exhilarating day of game viewing.

Sturdy acacias reach high above the camp, forming large canopies of shade, under which you will find the luxury safari tents. Each spacious tent features en suite shower room as well as tea/coffee making facilities, fan and mini safe. There’s a family tent which has two rooms sharing one bathroom, ideal for families with children.

All guest areas overlook the extremely productive waterhole, including the game viewing hide, lounge and dining areas. Freshly prepared meals are served in a variety of locations including the dining deck, a bush venue or the boma located at the waterhole.

Activities at Elephant Valley Lodge

Activities include daily safaris and boat cruises into the Chobe National Park. The Kasane Forest reserve is a game-rich area affording you wonderful sightings of big game throughout the day and night. Morning boat cruises along the Chobe River give you an up-close and personal encounter with the elephants going for a morning drink and the afternoon game drive allow you to experience all the other wildlife activity in both the Chobe and Kasane Forest Reserves.
