Overview
Elephants Crossing Lodge is situated in Welgevonden Private Game Reserve, in the middle of the Waterberg Biosphere. This is a luxurious tented camp situated in one of the most beautiful and diverse Game Reserves of South Africa, the Welgevonden. The reserve is almost 40 000 Hectare in size and is home to the Big 5. it also hosts a good population of White Rhino and is inhabited by almost 400 different species of birds.
This fully solar powered lodge is fitted with a cinematic deck with a sunken firepit that overlooks the waterhole with its roaming wildlife.
The lodge consists of 3 luxury tents with each a private splash pool and deck, king size beds, en suite bathrooms with bath and an outdoor shower. Here you can enjoy your favourite glass of wine or cocktail whilst soaking up the magnificent views. The lodge is unfenced. You could be lucky to bump into a zebra or klipspringer on the way to your accommodation. But the main lodge is only a short walk away. There is also a Tented Suite with large deck and private braai area.
Activities at Elephants Crossing Lodge
This UNESCO World Heritage Site is dominated by different veld types and has characteristic mountainous bushveld areas. Its variety of vegetation lead to more than 50 species of mammals and over 300 bird species to be found in the reserve. Their experienced field guides will take you on an adventure in search of the Big 5 and all of the beauty of the bushveld.
Bush Villa
Situated on top of a hill with a spectacular view, is the two-bedroom Bush Villa, each with en suite bathrooms with a bath and outside shower. The villa boasts a living room section with a spacious deck, a kitchen, a large plunge pool, and a private boma area. The main lodge is within walking distance away from the suite, guided by a lightened stairway.

Luxury Tent
The three private Luxury Tents create the most genuine Big 5 experience – Soothing sounds of the veld add to the comfort of these luxuriously equipped accommodations. Each unit boasts a private plunge pool, fans, heaters, and outside showers.
Tented Suite
The private tented suite accommodates a sweeping view from a large deck with scenery seating, an outside shower, a plunge pool, a fan, heaters, and a private seating area. The main lodge is a short walking distance away.
Bush Villa
The private bush villa is scenically positioned and is fitted with two bedrooms with separate en-suite bathrooms with a bath and outside shower, private braai area, fan and heater. The villa boasts a living room section with a kitchen and a spacious deck.
