Klein-Aus Vista – Eagle’s Nest Chalets

Solitude, silence, space and magnificent sunsets - these are the characteristics of the atmosphere at Eagle's Nest Chalets in southern Namibia.  A 15 minutes' drive from the reception at the Desert Horse Inn, Eagle's Nest Chalets comprise eight chalets which are nestled against a mountain slope with unique views of the boundlessness of the desert. Each of the natural rock chalets sits between massive granite boulders and contains a bathroom, kitchenette, fireplace and private veranda. You can keep to yourself or enjoy delicious meals at the Desert Horse Inn restaurant. You return to dream and wake to the magnificent sunrise scenery. However if you don't want to stir from this desert oasis, take-away breakfast or barbecue packs are available on request.

There's a choice of double bed chalets, two bedroom chalets and even a four bedroom chalet for families. Each has an open plan lounge equipped with kitchen, stocked mini bar and sitting area with fire place. Outside there's a private veranda with barbecue facilities.

Eagle's Nest Chalets are perfect for those wanting to get away from it all. Yet from Aus, you can also head to Luderitz on the coast, visit the ghost town of Kolmanskop and enjoy unfettered walking on the reserve.
