Le Paradisier Hotel

Le Paradisier Hotel is set on the golden dunes overlooking the southern beach of Ifaty lagoon, about 10 minutes from the main part of the village. Surrounded by luxuriant shrubs, the hotel is constructed from local stone, rosewood and thatch and is largely powered with solar energy.

There are 20 well-designed bungalows built of stone and thatch, each with a bathroom and mezzanine living level and balcony which offers unsurpassed sea views on three sides. Some have bedrooms on the ground floor and others have the bedroom on the mezzanine level. The waterfront suite is right on the beach and can easily sleep a family of four, with a sitting area.

Le Paradisier also has an attractive restaurant offering French, Italian and Malagasy dishes as well as wines from South Africa. It has floor to ceiling windows overlooking the ocean. Outside there’s also a lovely infinity pool with a cocktail bar right by the ocean.

Activities

Activities range from doing absolutely sweet nothing to enjoying a massage or a stroll along the beach through to more active pursuits such as mountain biking, canoeing on the lagoon, diving or snorkelling, horse riding, big game fishing or enjoy botanical trails through a local forest of baobab trees and mangroves which is a paradise for keen birders. Whale watching ocean excursions are also offered during the whale watching season from June to November.
