Accommodation

Mushara Lodge & Villas has a prime position 8km from Etosha National Park and is known for its delicious Namibian cuisine and friendly efficient service. Named after the purple pod tree which is called the 'Mushara' in the Ovambo language, Mushara lodge has 14 spacious en suite thatched chalets arranged in the gardens (including one family suite). Each has air-conditioning, mosquito nets, a minibar, safe, tea/coffee facilities and telephone. Children are welcome at Mushara Lodge and are accommodated in the family suite.

The thatched public area is very spacious with high ceilings that has been divided using wooden screens to create cosy seating areas with leather sofas, kilims, throws and Namibian paintings. It includes a small library, bar with an extensive wine cellar, a welcoming fireplace for winter evenings, dining area and a well stocked curio shop.

Activities

Mushara Lodge & Villas is known for serving delicious meals which are offered on the terrace or in the dining room accompanied by white linen, candles and fine South African wines. There's a welcoming sizeable swimming pool with sun loungers for relaxing in between game drives.  Guests embark on morning and afternoon game drives in Etosha, Namibia's premier wildlife destination, with talented local guides who are truly passionate about sharing the wonders of the National Park with you. These are in open top 4x4 vehicles and are very popular. Alternatively, if you have a rental car then you can use it to explore the park.

Villas at Mushara

The two Mushara Villas offer some of the best accommodation in Namibia and offer an ideal retreat from the stresses of modern day life. Each ultra-luxurious villa is exquisitely furnished with a separate sitting room, spacious bedroom, huge bathroom, private plunge pool and a path leading down to a private sala in the bush. The rugged harsh wilderness of Etosha juxtaposed with the luxurious accommodation and cuisine offers a stark contrast, which has been depicted through the use of opposing textures.

Villa Mushara can either be booked on a Full Board basis (with no game drives) or on a Fully Inclusive basis when all your meals, drinks from the minibar, laundry and private game drives are included.
