From the day it opened its doors in 1902, Sarova Stanley, a 5 star hotel in Nairobi, has been making history - hosting royal safaris and a long line of living legends. Dining

Today, Sarova Stanley's heritage character is preserved whilst offering modern hotel services and amenities to create Nairobi's most special city hotel experience. Dining options include the well known open-air bistro style Thorn Tree Cafe, Thai Chi Restaurant - probably the most authentic Thai cuisine you will find in East Africa, the laid back Pool Deck Restaurant or sit back with a drink and light snack at The Exchange Bar.

Sarova Stanley Rooms and Suites

Rooms at Sarova Stanley come in three categories - Deluxe, Club and Themed Suites. The 160 Deluxe rooms have a classic decor and are extremely spacious for this starter level of room category. This is mainly due to the hotel being built when space was not an issue. There are 32 Club rooms and guests enjoy evening canapés followed by aromatic candles and chocolates for turn down service as part of their stay.

There is a comprehensive range of Themed Suites at the Sarova Stanley, including the Lamu Suite with it's four poster bed, luxury bathroom with jacuzzi, ideal for honeymooners. The 3 Junior Suites each have two bedrooms linked via the sitting room which are perfect for families.

Deluxe Rooms

Deluxe rooms at Sarova Stanley offer the rare luxury of space, the largest in their category in the city, having been built at a time when space was never a constraint.

The rooms are done up in classical style with chintz furnishings and plush carpeting.

Club Rooms

Club Rooms offer a very comfortable stay featuring elegant interiors and amenities such as a fresh fruit basket on arrival, a floral arrangement in the bedroom, fluffy white terry toweling robes and slippers, daily newspapers, free internet access and 42 inch flat-screen televisions.

Club room guests also enjoy evening canapes, on the house, followed by aromatic candles and chocolates for Turn Down service.

Premium Club Room (Executive Suites)

Executive Suites feature spacious bedrooms with separate dressing area, en-suite Lounge with powder room and well-appointed bathrooms. The decor reflects Classical elegance with a contemporary touch.

These suites make for an ideal home away from home and are particularly popular among regular and long-staying guests.

Heritage Suite

These are exquisitely appointed suites with strong character and understated elegance. They are Nairobi's most prized accommodation.

Karen Blixen suite commemorates the Baroness Blixen, Nairobi resident between 1914 - 1931 and author of "Out of Africa". The Suite is decorated with photos spanning her life in Kenya and reproductions of her famouns paintings "Juma" and "The Kikuyu Girl".

The "Lamu" Suite is named for the exquisite Swahili/Arabic archipelago and island off the Kenya coast. The Suite's decor is reminiscent of the island's romantic ambiance, boasting a four poster bed popular with honeymooners.
