Swartberg Country Manor is a country lodge in the Little Karoo area of the Garden Route. It lies on a working farm, Voorbedacht, in the Cango Valley at the foot of the world-renowned Swartberg Pass. The main farmhouse was converted into a comfortable guesthouse that offers nine en suite guest rooms, and the original farmhouse from 1864 was renovated to offer a further five en suite guest rooms. It is impossible not to fall in love with this historical gem, with its ambiance and character - oregon pine floors and ceilings with perfectly framed mountain views from the casement windows. Meals are served in the pretty restaurant, or on the deck overlooking the spectacular Swartberg Mountains. During summer traditional South African dishes are prepared outside on open fires next to the swimming pool.

Voorbedacht farm is a working farm, which offers you the unique opportunity to explore and experience the true essence of farming in the Little Karoo. Daily walks on the farm allow you to experience the peace and serenity of this beautiful valley, while for the more active, mountain bikes are available to explore the more rugged terrain. Children will love the farm environment of Swartberg Country Manor and can share a room with their parents.
