Tloma Mountain Lodge

Tloma Mountain Lodge is a small, exclusive lodge uniquely situated on top of a valley overlooking a coffee plantation, the Eastern wall of the Ngorongoro Crater and a beautiful waterfall. It is just outside of the Karatu village within the Ngorongoro Highlands area. The nearest airstrip to Tloma Mountain Lodge is Lake Manyara airstrip, 30 minutes away.

Tloma Mountain Lodge consists of 24 cottages and 12 garden view rooms built in the style of an old colonial farm offering guests a relaxing, quiet atmosphere surrounded by beautiful gardens. All rooms are ensuite with private verandas and have views to Ngorongoro Highlands.

The lodge

The lodge is built like an old colonial farm and is the perfect retreat for guests to relax in this peaceful atmosphere. It's ideal as a one night stay to re-energise yourselves after an amazing safari. Guests can take their meals in the main building, as a buffet set up by the pool or a more intimate private dining on the deck. Picnics can also be arranged.

Like it's sister lodge, Maramboi Tented Camp and Ngorongoro Farm House, Tloma Mountain Lodge has eco-friendly electric power supplied by solar panels, with a generator as a backup.

Activities at Tloma Mountain Lodge

Activities at Tloma Mountain Lodge include guided nature walks in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, cultural guided tours of Karatu village, swimming in the solar heated pool or treat yourself to a full or half body massage by a trained an experience masseuse.
