Tubu Tree Camp is situated on the private Jao concession - an area of 60,000 ha in the Okavango Delta bordering the western part of the Moremi Game Reserve. Elevated walkways through the canopy link this traditional style camp with its eight secluded tents on raised platforms. The camp takes full advantage of its view over the floodplains of the Delta.
The camp is built on the western side of the isolated Hunda island with its diverse vegetation ranging from dry Kalahari sandveld, through to mopane and riverine forests. Tubu Tree Camp offers both land and water activities with plains animals attracted to the dry savanna and riverine animals and abundant birdlife enjoying the permanent waters.
By day and by night, Tubu Tree Camp also offers safari game drives with experienced guides in open 4x4's. You can be guaranteed of some fantastic game and bird viewing. During the winter season (normally May to late September), boating, seasonal fishing and mokoro trips are also offered.
Accommodation
Tubu Tree Camp has an attractive airy thatched lodge shaded by trees with sitting; dining and bar areas open to the plains. The plunge pool offers welcome relaxation during the warm Botswana days whilst the outdoor bar under the canopy of a large Marula Tree offers a convivial evening focus. Six large and comfortable tents are raised on wooden platforms with a private game-viewing deck overlooking the floodplains. Each tent has ensuite bathroom, hot and cold running water, flush toilet, hand basin, indoor and outdoor shower. There is a family unit consisting of two adjoining tents with separate bathrooms and a shared lounge.

Views abound from each elevated tent. Built in traditional safari style, the tents each have their own en-suite bathroom facilities, an outdoor shower, as well as a panels replacing some canvas walls and a private viewing deck overlooking the surrounding open, grassy floodplains that teem with iconic African wildlife. Elevated walkways link the tents to the main dining, bar and pool areas that are designed to blend seamlessly into the surrounding environment, and to maximise the spectacular views. The perfect setting for a relaxing sundowner.
Family Accommodation
Tucked away into a tree canopy, the spacious and light family unit has two adjoining tents with separate bathrooms and a shared lounge with saligna hardwood flooring, plus a deck offering cinematic views across the Delta.
