Overview

If you’ve been forever dreaming of an iconic Okavango Delta experience, then end your search with Tuludi. Located in the Khwai Private Reserve in over 200,000 hectares of pristine wilderness, the landscape is fit for a fairytale. Floodplains stretch as far as the eye can see and the glistening waterways and emerald forests attract all the stars of the safari show.

Sophisticated, intimate and with every detail attended to, Tuludi offers an iconic Delta experience in the most refined of surroundings. The Khwai Private Reserve is a private concession from which proceeds go straight back into the eco-tourism initiatives of the area and to the surrounding communities.

Accommodation at Tuludi Camp

Tuludi captures the magic of being enfolded in nature and the serenity and space that comes with it. The camp is home to seven tree-house style rooms, all shaded and cooled by majestic leadwood trees. They have sophisticated interiors that mix the contemporary with the traditional and the airy spaces are dotted with intriguing maps, botanicals and treasures from around the area. Tuludi is an exclusive oasis that you’ll be delighted to return to after a day exploring the extraordinary ecosystem.

Activities at Tuludi Camp

No day will be the same at Tuludi and with game drives, walking safaris and fantastic water-based game viewing by boat or mokoro on offer, you’ll discover the best of the Delta. Your safari guide has all the expertise and knowledge to find you some of the best kept secrets and most loved wildlife in the Okavango Delta. But also take some time to explore the treehouse library or take a dip in either the large swimming pool or your private plunge pool. There are plenty of places for a spot of chill-out time.

You can also join the rangers on the KPR Ranger Experience. You head out with the Khwai Private Reserve (KPR) rangers before dawn to track predators and fresh spoor. You’ll spend 4-6 hours doing this, as well as collecting data, patrolling the area and checking on conservation projects en-route if time allows. They will get you back to camp before lunchtime (additional cost for this activity).

Rooms

Twin or Double Tent

The high, pitched canvas bedroom roofs create light and airy spaces to retreat to at the end of a busy day in Khwai. Each tented room is 60 square metres in size with wooden boardwalks winding through the leadwood trees to connect the seven ‘treehouse-style’ tents and each is kept cool by the shady boughs. Inside, you’ll find separate dressing and sleeping areas, an ensuite bathroom, indoor and outdoor showers, and splashy bathtubs. There’s also a sunken seating area and a private plunge pool on the outside veranda, both overlooking the enormous floodplains.

Family Tent

The Family tent consists of a super king sized bed and 2 smaller beds, accommodating 2 adults and 2 children. The tent is equipped with an over head fan, a lounge area, international charging stations and an indoor shower. There is a partition that drops down to separate the sleeping areas. Outside you will find a seating area on a private veranda with a splash pool, sunken lounge & day bed as well as an out door shower and splashy bathtub.

Tuludi Camp

Arguably, Tuludi is one of the most beautiful lodges I have seen in Botswana. Décor is outstanding. There's a beautiful bar with firepit area. Beautiful swimming pool area, separate from main area, which I liked. I also enjoyed the treehouse library and wi-fi only being in the rooms, as that made the main area very sociable.

Food was great. Lovely lunch with salad, wraps, houmous, fish.. all to share around a communal table.

It is a mix of modern & traditional in terms of the camp decor. With a stunning setting overlooking floodplains.

Suites are spectacular - spacious 60 m2 connected by wooded walkway with sandy walkways for animals to roam naturally. With 3 charging points in rooms as well as on vehicle. And outside shower, inside shower AND bath. Air-con and hair-dryer which is pretty unusual in Botswana. Plus there's a lovely outside sitting area with swinging chairs, and a private plunge pool.

Game drives were excellent - we saw three separate packs of wild dog. Also mokoro trips all year from Little Sable (more modest sister lodge nearby) and walking safaris. We even saw a male lion from the mokoros! And the surprise sundowner drinks set up in open plains were stylishly done!

  • 7 spacious rooms including two-bedroom family unit (no outside shower for kids). You can add an extra bed to suites - it takes kids 6 years and older
  • Spectacular treehouse library
  • Beautiful mosaic bar
  • Tree slide which is adult proof (FUN!)
  • 7 pax per vehicle
  • WiFi in rooms only (yeah!)
