Kruger Park

A safari is usually a crucial element of any South Africa trip. And there is no better safari destination than the Kruger National Par and its adjacent private game reserves. Words cannot describe the thrill of tracking a leopard on the hunt. Or observing a breeding herd of elephants at a waterhole. A Kruger safari can be in the National Park itself. Or in one of its adjacent private game reserves.

The Greater Kruger is the safari destination for many of our guests. The park itself is vast and encompasses many diverse biosperes. This ensures a diversity of wildlife on offer. But the Kruger also offers an unsurpassed concentration of wildlife. (The Greater Kruger comprises the National Park, plus the Sabi Sands, Timbavati and Thornybush private game reserves, amongst others).

Some of these private game reserves share an open border with the Kruger Park. So animals move freely between watering holes. These massive private game reserves offer several game lodges who co-operate to conserve their valuable heritage.

We recommend spending at least three nights on your Kruger Park safari, preferably more. Many guests like to combine two safari areas to see different habitat and thus different wildlife. So you can combine the Sabi Sand Game Reserve with the Timbavati, for example. Or with one of the private concessions in the Kruger National Park.

Or you can enjoy a Kruger safari and then head to a completely different safari destination such as Madikwe Game Reserve, northern KwaZulu Natal or the Waterberg. The Kruger also contrasts very well with the Okavango Delta of Botswana or the Mana Pools of Zimbabwe.
