This specialist South Luangwa photographic safari workshop in the South Luangwa National Park in Zambia is perfect for keen photographers wishing to improve their wildlife photography skills. It is based at the Robin Pope Safaris camp, Luangwa River Camp. David Rogers is the author/photographer of several books, including Zambia Safari in Style. The South Luangwa Photographic Safari Workshop is a small group tour for a maximum of 6 people. It gives you the unique opportunity to benefit from the knowledge of this leading wildlife photographer. You’ll also see the South Luangwa National Park at its most colourful in the late summer/autumn at the end of the rains.
On the Photographic Safari Workshop, David will accompany you on all your game drives. He’ll give advice and analyse your photographic results. In addition to wildlife photography, he will cover landscapes, macro work, birds, insects and people.
South Luangwa
At the southern tip of the Great Rift Valley, the South Luangwa National Park in Zambia is one of the finest wildlife sanctuaries in the world. The brooding Luangwa River meanders through the luxuriant valley, supporting thousands of hippo and crocodile and sustaining the park. The ox bow lagoons, woodlands and plains of the valley host huge concentrations of game – including elephant, buffalo, leopard, lion, giraffe, hippo – and over 400 species of birds. This is the perfect playground for enthusiastic wildlife photographers!
The South Luangwa Photographic Safari Workshop departs with a minimum of 4 people. It departs every March with 6 nights at Luangwa River Camp.
