uShaka Marine World

uShaka Marine World is one of the key attractions on the Golden Mile of Durban in KwaZulu Natal. This is a great way to spend a few hours in Durban, especially for families.

Broadly, it comprises of three separate activities.

Inside an old tanker ship lies the excellent Oceanarium. Then, on the surrounding grounds is the rest of Sea World which has a number of outside enclosures. Here you can enjoy a series of seal and dolphin shows at set times throughout the day.

Adjacent to Sea World is Wet ‘n Wild. This is a freshwater world of slides and pools. This caters for families, adrenaline junkies and even the less adventurous.

Finally, there’s a relaxed shopping mall with a holiday vibe on the edge of uShaka Marine World. Here you’ll find a range of family-orientated restaurants and beach-orientated shops. So, it’s a good place to stock up on summer beach clothes.

You can purchase a ticket for the Oceanarium or Sea World or Wet & Wild. But usually a combination ticket for the whole of uShaka Marine World is available.
