Note: that Majete and Satemwe may be switched around for better road transfer logistics

Your adventure begins with three nights in the wild beauty of Majete Wildlife Reserve, Malawi’s first Big Five destination and a model of successful conservation.

From there, travel south to the verdant Satemwa Tea Estate, a scenic contrast of emerald plantations and colonial charm.

Continue to Liwonde National Park, where Kuthengo Camp offers close encounters with elephant, hippo, and rare antelope against a backdrop of sweeping floodplains. Finally, unwind in barefoot luxury at Pumulani Lodge, a lakeside retreat offering serene beaches, gentle water activities, and glorious sunsets over the lake.

Tailor This Safari

This journey can be easily tailored to your interests. Add a stop on the Zomba Plateau at Ku Chawe Inn for scenic mountain walks and sweeping views, creating a 14-night adventure. Alternatively, extend north to the Nyika Plateau, Malawi’s highland wilderness, for an unforgettable finale.

  • Best travelled between April and October, outside the peak rainy season
  • Twice-weekly flights (Wednesday & Saturday) operate into and out of Blantyre
  • We don't offer this tour during the main summer rains (January to mid March)
