This luxurious, relaxing honeymoon or romantic holiday focus on three areas: Cape Town for 4 nights, a Kruger safari in a private game lodge for 3 nights, 1 night at a country lodge close to Kruger Airport and then 4 nights relaxing on Bazaruto Island off the Mozambique coast, with its white sandy beaches, lush vegetation and an azure blue sea for swimming/snorkeling amongst the rich coral life.

Overnight prior to your flight to Mozambique?

This night, that we've included, is not strictly necessary as you can fly (by light aircraft) from your game lodge to Kruger Airport in time for the scheduled flight to Vilanculos in Mozambique. But it is a pretty expensive 'lodge hop' and so we feel that an enjoyable panorama route transfer/tour to a country lodge, and then a relaxing morning prior to your flight is a nicer option.

However if you prefer to take a charter flight and then have an extra night on the beach, the extra cost will be in the region of between $250 pp (mid season) to $325 per person (peak season of Easter and July to August)

Tailor-made options

This itinerary can be tailor-made in a number of ways. In Cape Town, we have left it open for you to choose whether you want to take car rental for complete flexibility or whether to want to choose from a comprehensive array of tours and adventure activities.

In the Kruger, you are free to change the accommodation (though we chose this lodge especially because it combines excellent game-viewing with a honeymoon special offer.)

Anantara Bazaruto Island Resort is ideal if you like more activities and buzz but you may prefer AndBeyond Benguerra Lodge which is smaller and more intimate, or the luxurious Azura Retreat (Both with a larger price tag to match).
