From Livingstone Airport you will be met and transferred by road to Tongabezi Lodge (approx. 30 mins drive) for your two night stay (Fully Inclusive).

From Livingstone Airport you will fly to the Busanga Plains in Kafue (approx. 1,5 hour flight) for a 2 (or 3) night stay.
Stunning location aside, you will be impressed with the Green Ethos practiced here. Chisa runs solely on solar power, and Green Safaris are the very first lodges in Zambia to operate an eLandy; an electrified game-drive vehicle very special and noise free way of game viewing with minimal impact.
The next couple of days will be spent exploring Kafue National Park, with all safari activities included.
Despite being lesser known, Kafue National Park is the largestΒ and oldest park in Zambia, and one of the last great expanses of remote and unspoiled wilderness in Africa. This unexplored gem of a park is enticing for its incredible diversity of wildlife and birds, its sheer quantity of big game and predators, and perhaps just as attractive, the absence of people.
Today you are transferred to the nearby Chunga Airstrip for your flight to Mfuwe via Lusaka. On arrival at Mfuwe, you will be transferred to Shawa Luangwa Camp.
Our partnership with legendary guide, Jacob Shawa, not only inspired the name of Shawa Luangwa Camp; it created the foundation for us to bring Silent Safaris to the South Luangwa. The spot where Shawa Luangwa sits overlooking the Luangwa River was handpicked by Jacob and is one of the parkβs most untouched areas. Voted one of Wanderlustβs top 8 best professional guides and one of the finest people you will meet, Jacob is at the heart of Shawa Luangwaβs story.
All 5 luxury tents are elevated off the ground with expansive views of the Luangwa River and the park beyond. Bathrooms are en suite with enclosed toilet. There are double vanities with brass and copper fittings. Our open-air sitting and dining areas overlook the Luangwa River, well elevated off the ground maximizing views,
The following two days, you explore the South Luangwa National Park, with all safari activities at Shawa included.
At the southern tip of the Great Rift Valley lies the South Luangwa National Park, one of Africaβs premier wildlife sanctuaries. Itβs a place of primeval forest and lush savanna, stretching for hundreds of miles and encompassing the Luangwa River basin, its adjacent highlands and a mosaic of different habitats extending outwards from the central river. The brooding Luangwa River meanders through the luxuriant valley, supporting thousands of hippo and crocodile and sustaining the park. South Luangwa has one of the greatest game concentrations in Africa. Elephant, a wide variety of antelope, buffalo, kudu, zebra, Thornycroftβs giraffe and wildebeest occur in great numbers, as well as over 400 bird species. Lion, wild dog and hyena are also common and the park is famed for its excellent leopard sightings.
Today you transfer back to Mfuwe for your flight to Likoma Island via Lilongwe (2 x 1 hour flights).
Kaya Mawa by Green Safaris is a stunning beach lodge on Likoma Island in Malawi. Just like Ila Safari Lodge, Kaya Mawa is situated in an ultra-pristine part of the world. And just like Ila Safari Lodge and Chikunto, Kaya Mawa offers a unique experience. The island offers a beautiful sandy beach on the immense freshwater Lake Malawi. A plethora of watersports are available as well as scuba diving, quad biking, local culture and some of the tastiest food In Africa.
The lodge has won numerous awards, notably most romantic safari property and best beach lodge in Africa, endorsed by leading publishers such as Conde Naste, Safari Awards, Tatler etc. for many years in a row.
Upgrade Option: We recommend an upgrade to stay in one of the Premium Villas, with its own private pool.
Chill out on the stunning beach, explore theΒ island, go diving, sailing, kite-surfing or spoil yourself with massages or treatments in the SPA.
You can also visit one of the conservation and community development projects on theΒ island.
Today you are transferred back to Likoma for your flight to Lilongwe.
Note: You may need to overnight depending on flight times.
