Overview
Windhoek * Sossusvlei * Swakopmund * Damaraland * Etosha
Namibia to Go is an ideal solution for people who prefer not to self-drive, Β yet do not require a fully private guided safari.
Designed around a scheduled lodge-to-lodge shuttle service, this safari trip offers a relaxed and cost-effective way to explore Namibia’s highlights without compromising on comfort or experience.
Operated by the lodge group itself, the shuttle transfers run directly between their properties, ensuring a smooth and well-coordinated journey. You simply settle in and enjoy the ever-changing scenery: from the sculpted dunes of Sossusvlei to the Atlantic charm of Swakopmund and the wildlife-rich plains of Etosha.
We’ve included selected excursions at each lodge as well as dinner. But these activities can be changed to other activities on offer at each lodge.

Personalise or Extend Your Safari Trip
As it is a transferred tour to specific lodges, there isn’t a huge amount of scope to adapt. But there is flexibility to add or change excursions according to your interests, or to add nights.
Extend your safari to the Southern Kalahari using the same scheduled shuttle service, creating a rewarding 12-night itinerary. You may also add an extra night in Damaraland or adjust included excursions to better reflect your interests.
Good to Know
- Ideal for couples seeking a relaxed alternative to self-drive, but without the additional costs of a privately guided tour
- Scheduled shuttle service operates between specific lodges
- Some activities and dinners are included, with options to adjust
- Final night in Windhoek may not be necessary for late evening departures
- Changing this to a privately guided tour will add considerably to the costs, but less so if you are 4 or more people. Ask us for a private quote.

On arrival at Windhoek Airport, you are met and transferred to your hotel for 1 night stay.
This morning you are transferred to the Sossusvlei area, for your 2 nights stay at the The Desert Grace Lodge.
The Desert Grace Lodge
This is the first of Gondwana’s lodges to be entirely constructed using sandbags instead of bricks. Not only does this have a positive outcome for the environment, it also makes the 24 rooms on the lodge cooler and very well insulated.
Today you are transferred to Swakopmund for a 2 night stay at the The Delight Swakopmund.
Today you are going on a tour called – Living Desert TourΒ
Tommy Collard was the first person to offer the βLiving Desert Tourβ, which he developed over a number of years. Nowadays there are two or three companies offering a living desert tour in some shape or form. All with good reputations!
What does a living desert tour mean? The tour is focused on examining the smaller creatures of the desert. You experience the unexpected life in the dunes up close with a conservation-minded approach.
You head off into the dunes, then tyres are deflated, and the search is on for desert creatures. Tommy is skilled at finding the majority of these creatures such as the Palmata geckos, sand-diving lizards, side-winders, FitzSimonβs burrowing skink and Namaqua chameleon on every tour. The drive through the dunes is a wonderful experience, presenting many photographic opportunities. Youβll also experience a βroaringβ dune.
Today you will be heading north to Damaraland to stay at Damara Mopane Lodge.
Today at 1pm you are transferred to your next Lodge, Etosha Safari Lodge for your 3 nights stay.
Etosha Safari Lodge
The lodge, only ten km from the park’s central entrance and a world away from the hustle and bustle of Okaukuejo, offers top grade Etosha accommodation with easy access to the park. Days of animal wonder are balanced with comfort and care, creating an exceptional Etosha experience. Dine under a dome of stars on the outside veranda, sit next to a blazing fire, or watch the red orb of the sun sink gracefully into the landscape from the sunset deck. The day couldn’t be better.
Included Game Drives
Day 8 – Full day game drive into Etosha with picnic lunch
Day 9 – Morning game drive, afternoon at leisure. (Can choose to add a second game drive if you wish)
Day 10 – Morning game drive and depart for Windhoek at 1pm
After a full morning game drive, you will be transferred back to Windhoek at 1pm. Stay overnight in Windhoek again (depending on your flight details!).
