For 20 years, the grasslands of the Eastern Serengeti were closed to tourists to allow the cheetah population to replenish itself. Today, this is big-cat territory, where cheetah roam the area in pursuit of prey, and lion and leopard hunt undisturbed.
I love the fact that Namiri Plains is in a more exclusive area and the cat sightings are great here. We saw cheetah en-route and leopard. Namiri was very private with no other camp within an hourโs drive. The nearest airstrip was Seronera which was 75 minutes drive away.
The new rooms were looking absolutely stunning. Highly recommended especially if visiting at the right time.
