Reilly’s Rock – Peter’s review

Reailly’s Rock Hilltop Lodge is a great little lodge atop, not unsurprisingly, a forested hill. This affords it great views across the Milwane Wildlife Sanctuary. Cosy accommodation; beautiful gardens; lots of birdlife (encouraged by the plentiful feeding stations); a tortoise roaming happily; warm and friendly service and an old-world charm.

  • Quite a steep and bumpy ascent once through the park gates
  • Feeding bush babies with banana in the evening was a major highlight
  • Fabulous gardens, with a tortoise and lots of bird feeders
  • Lovely homely feel
  • Boma meal enjoyable but strange seating arrangement on tables like school desks. This meant that no one able to talk to each other very much, just to the people on either side of you.
